This is an incredible shift for the reddest state in America, and it ought to be a wake up call for Mormon men.
It’s time for Mormon men to get their butts off their shoulders, stop bending into pretzels to defend the policies and behavior of a racist misogynistic draft-dodger, and follow their so-righteous-they-don’t-even-need-the-priesthood women into the voting booth for a come to Jesus.
You know that song “my momma don’t like you, and she likes everyone”? It’s time for some Mormon men to rethink their support of Trumpism and what it says to the women in their lives about how they really feel about pussy-grabbing.
I’m proud to tell you what I think. Men who brag about sexually assaulting women — in any context — are unfit for public office. Men who dodge the draft are unfit to be commanders-in-chief. And men who can not wear masks to protect their wives or children or the people they work with because it makes them “look weak” are incapable of making good judgment calls and should not be president. Men who support men who behave like this hurt us all.
